Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales representatives to improve their skills and productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop training materials and guide team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and client engagement.
- Cultivate a results-driven and collaborative sales culture.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Set and track individual and team KPIs, sales targets, and pipelines.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports and present insights to management.
- Monitor team progress and proactively address underperformance or challenges.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and industry partners.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events to represent the company professionally.
- Handle high-value accounts and strategic negotiations directly when necessary.
Product & Market Expertise:
- Stay updated with market trends, competitor products, and industry developments.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams on customer needs and product improvements.
- Ensure the sales team is well-informed about product features, pricing, and positioning.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Candidates with a technical or engineering background (especially in construction, building materials, or plumbing) will have an added advantage.
- Professional training or certifications in sales, leadership, or team management is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the building materials, sanitary ware, or plumbing products industry.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role, with a proven track record of managing or mentoring a sales team.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies, achieving/exceeding sales targets, and handling key accounts.
- Experience working in a hybrid or field sales environment and dealing with contractors, architects, designers, or developers is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel for client meetings and site visits as needed.
